My favorite and lucky number has always been 13. I think it's because I was boorn on Oct.13 and backwards it's Oct.31 which is a holiday I have always felt close to because of the dark power behind it and the dark power behind every Friday the 13th. So please tell me If and why you are or aren't connected to 13.

A story my mom told me about. The basic plot:

A flock of doves take shelter in a barn, and they know that they will freeze from the cold. A flock of sparrows flies into the barn half dead from the chill. The sparrows ask the doves if they would take them under their wings so they can warm up. Most of the doves refuse, but six of the doves welcome them under their wings. The night passes, and early in the morning the farmer comes to the barn to retrieve some firewood. When he opens the door a dove falls from above, frozen to death. The farmer looks up to see the flock, only a small handful still clinging to life. the farmer climbs up and takes the doves that had survived into his home to warm them by the fire. As the doves warm up they lift their wings and the sparrows fly out; only the doves who had helped the sparrows had survived.

I wanted the to know the original story in the author’s words. If anyone can help me out, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you sooooooo much!

it triggers a computer for the governement and they tap your phone if said combination of suspicious words appears too many times.

...like i said, it's a paranoid and over the top urban legen, but i was curious if this thing originated from maybe a less extreme experiance.

say about it. But be wary, while some sites glorify the magic of the number (Alexander the Great cut the Gordian Knot at age 23, Adam and Eve are said to have had 23 children), others reveal the dark curse of it (2/3 is .666, the Mayans believe the world will end on December 23, 2012).

Is it possible for a small town to live by its 1800 tenets and hope to thrive? I think of the Shaker People who are holy. The best at crafting furniture and household items.
The only thing is they don't believe in sex, so they are dying out. Is that good? Any ideas?

give me 5 reasons why that number is significant

and now some disbelievers give me 5 reasons why its not and see who has better reasons

I'll go first as someone who doesnt believe:
1) Hurrican Katrina

OMFG i swear to you I wasn't planning this...... but as I wikipedia'd katrina i found out it formed on August 23rd..... but i'm sure its just a coincidence, let me try something else

2)Martin Luther King's assasination

King was assassinated at 6:01 p.m. April 4, 1968, on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee. Friends inside the motel room heard the shots and ran to the balcony to find King shot in the throat. He was pronounced dead at St. Joseph's Hospital at 7:05 p.m. The assassination led to a nationwide wave of riots in more than 60 cities

ok no 23 there....

3)John F. Kennedy's assanation
ummm ok wow.. turns out he was assinated at 12:30......
coincedence? I hope so...

well i'm out of room but someone please prove to me its not real
