No, it's not real. At least, not in the sense you're talking about. There is no new fad that involves teens sticking leeches on themselves. It's a commercial for the anti-drug campaigns that is meant to show how idiotic drug use is by comparing it with sticking leeches to oneself.
However, back in the middle ages, it was common place for physicians to "bleed" sick patients by having leeches suck out their blood. This treatment often backfired and the patients often died from the bleeding rather than their original illnesses.
If "slomming" were to truly become a fad, the loss of blood would cause light-headedness, fainting, anemia and even death. Anyone who would willingly stick a leech on his/her own body is either insane, stupid or both.

No, slomming is not real. The word itself is an acronym that Above the Influence came up with, meaning "sticking leeches on myself."
It stands for the absurd things that people will do when peers pressure, such as smoking cigarettes, doing drugs, etc. The point of the commercial is to imply that drugs and cigarettes are just a stupid decision to make, much like "jumping off a bridge" because someone else did, or, their very own creation of sticking leeches on your skin because someone else did.

sloming(sticking leeches on myself) was, IS from a commercial where kids"live above the influence" of drugs, but this practice is very real, and life saving in some instences. there are doctors who use leeches to unclog or undo the effects of a blood clogging in your body

Yes it is very real. I slom 4-5 times a day. But I get it cheep. I live by a swamp. If you dont it can cost you a pretty penny.
