The Egyptian goddess Isis was formally known as Io in Greek mythology, whom Zeus had a crush on. Hera was naturally jealous and pursued her so that Zeus could not settle down with her. After a very long commotion, Hera had mercy on her on behalf of Zeus, and left Io in Egypt where she was worshipped as the goddess Isis. She even bore Zeus a son called Epaphus, identified as the bull-deity Apis. Now... one side speaks Greek while the other speaks Egyptian, and they aren't considered next-door-neighbours either. So why is Greek and Egyptian mythology inter-connected?

In the movie, "Lady in the Water" there is a bed time story about mythical creatures and how they are at this war. But, I guess my question really is, is there really a bed time story about this creatures in Asia? Because that is where the character who tells the story says that is where it is from.

My friends husband is getting ready to drive across country by himself, and I have been gettting a really bad feeling about it.
Then today she called with some news that a friend had died and last month her hubby just lost his father. She made the statement that things always happen in 3's and that she is waiting for the 3rd thing. Immediately I felt sick. I know why.
Should I tell her how I am feeling? Do you think saying it might jinx it even more?

Are fellow family serving in the service is in need of help. I have a link that will explain it better. If you are going to be able to help out let me know. I am going to be getting pics too...Our troops had to use duc tape for there maypole. Let's see if we can come together to help them. They are giving there lives. They may not agree and we may not agree with what is going on over there but they have no choice.
