I think this is a question that no one can honestly say they know the answer to.

At a basic level, the meaning of life is to live or to survive. But it doesn't stop there. Every living organism also participates in ensuring the long term survival of its group, community, or society, and its species. And beyond that, every living organism also participates in evolution - giving rise to new species and new types of groups, communities, and societies, that are more evolved, and more capable of surviving. So, ultimately, life is about the long term survival and proliferation of this chain reaction, called life, that started with the first living organism and continues until today.
But this is only half the answer. Life is also about "reflection", or discovering the meaning of life itself. As evolution leads to more and more intelligent species, they are more and more capable of reflection, and this process will also continue until some living organism in the future finds the true and complete meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

the purpose of your existence is to allow the full intensity of your spiritual self to shine in your life and in the world. This is called heaven on earth. Whether you are a doctor, lawyers, scholar, plumber, CEO, artist, teacher etc you have two ways to conduct your life.
#1 - Through your ego, doubting, oblivious, to the truth that you are a spiritual being having a human experience, considering only yourself.
#2 - Through humility of the soul, constantly find the essence of who you really are, your soul, and considering the needs of others.
Everything in your life serves one purpose - to provide you with an opportunity to carry out personal transformation which is about letting go of the ego. Each time you resit the ego you tear down a curtain and learn pro - active behaviour and life grows brighter.
Do not get me wrong, this is not an easy task, but the end result is rewarding.

Other than that, I think the meaning of life is to live and learn, but I supposed the meaning of life could be different for everyone. Life is what you make of it, after all.

Purpose. There is no 'meaning', per se. The purpose of life is to create useful structure in the universe, building structure (living or not) which Nature will find beneficial to the future of more Life. All species must create more usefulness than they consume in resources, or they go extinct eventually. This is Net Creativity.

This gets asked a lot.
Some people say that it is to live a good life, a life worth living.
Others say that it is to know as much as you can, and to spread knowledge.
I'm an ultra-pragmatist, so I believe that the meaning of life is twofold.
a) To reproduce, and to raise your young in such a way that they reproduce themselves, thus continuing your own genetic line, and so that they behave in a way that allows their young to reproduce as well, and so on and so forth through eternity.
b) For those who chose not to reproduce, or are unable to do so, the meaning of life is to improve the world around them so that others' young are able to bear children of their own.

That is easy. Life is what you make of it.
I know that sounds corny and an easy out but that is the truth of it.
