Ah but it makes a good tale eh? And the meek shall inherit the earth...and all that good stuff. Good over evil? Tolkien just wanted more than geeky guys to read his trilogy. Just like nowadays movies only become box office hits if they include sex and violence.

Embarrassed? No. I think he felt relief.
I think after so many thousands of years as a slave to Sauron that he would have realized that he'd made a bad deal and greatly regretted his greed at accepting Sauron's 'gift' of a ring of power. [Not to be confused with THE Ring of Power!] :)
I think he would have been relieved that his spirit could finally rest.

Ha! Definately in whatever hellish afterlife he landed he's probably the brunt of a lot of jokes by his d*mned peers. Though I bet he takes some of his anger out on his lawyer companions - d*mn loopholes!

Well, if he had a face...boy would it be red!!! Of course the Witch-King quickly disappeared off camera after that. I think he was off sulking in his trailer.

I think that was some magical loophole. He had an ancient spell which meant no MAN could defeat him.

Yeah, really! So much for all of his strutting and creating terror. I bet the rest of the soldiers were ashamed too.
"We were afraid of THAT!?!?! And it got cut down by a barbarian chick and a runt!?!?! OHHHHH, the SHAME of it!!!"
Etc. Let's hear it for estrogen!!!!!!
