In the movie, "Lady in the Water" there is a bed time story about mythical creatures and how they are at this war. But, I guess my question really is, is there really a bed time story about this creatures in Asia? Because that is where the character who tells the story says that is where it is from.

not unless they have tales of nymps and niads also. these are ore mytjs and tales from around greece and taly.

That specific story in "Lady in the Water" is not based off of Chinese folklore, but it is a bed time story now because it has been told by one of the greatest story tellers EVER, M. Night Shyamalan.

The only mythical creature that was mentioned in Chinese folklore is the dragon king who rules the realms of the sea. He lives in laps of luxury surrounded by precious pearls and he's got a tortoise who's his imperial guard. That's all.

M. Night Shamlayan originally made up the mythology for his kids' bed time story. There are any real life myths about the monsters in his current film.

i love that movie...nevermind....i think the story is real....coz theyre are all these stroies about mermaids too.....and how did we know about mermaids...which means we ised to communicate with them in th past..... but now we lost connection with them and they might be afraid of some creature too....and even this stroy im so curious about it...im gonna ask my pendulum about it :D
