First, i guess i need to explain what I'm doing, since "someone" brought it up.
I am not some poor ignorant reject that doesn't know how to gather information or research or teach effectively as a certain extremely bitter retired teacher suggested in his answer to my last question.
I am gathering research for my class concerning how society views mythology, and how they view the Bible in relation to mythology.
I take the answers you provide, along with answers from other sources, and share them with my class.
If you do not want your answer discussed or included in our informal "research", then don't answer, but I would appreciate your help. Just answer honestly and be yourself.
My kids enjoyed the last set of responses, especially the funny one.
they were even able to find humor in the bitter old retired teacher's response.
So, what say ye? How does the Bible relate to mythology or how does mythology relate to the Bible?
thanks everyone for your viewpoints.

I am very interested in the paranormal and have been all my life. However I have never had a paranormal encounter.I am a very level headed person and think about things calmly. I have been to places where friends felt a "shiver down the spine" or "spooked" however I felt nothing!I have visited many reputedly haunted places, but still nothing! I have never had even the slightest sensation of wierdness. Am I just not open to these things or are my friends just reading something into nothing?

Of the myths or folklores etc... that you grew up hearing about? My favorite was my grandma always told us that you never rocked a roking chair with no one sitting in it because it would call up spirts form the past that have used the chair.

I am not against those people who belives in God. But too much aggression and giving too much time to God really surprises me. As a Indian,I feel that Britishers ruled India for 200 years, for the simple reason we were busy in worshipping the God. When Britishers came to India and made us their slaves, people thought God is annoyed with us. And,when they left, people thought that God helped us to get the freedom. This is just a observation. In my personal life also, My elder brothers betrayed our Father and get the entire property in their names because my father was a aggressive religion follower.I think it is easy to make a fool of a person, who is a aggressive follower of a God.You should worship God but within the limits.Just do the hardwork in your job or business, and leave everything to the God?

mythology is one of the most misused terms in our language. I am just curious what most people think of when they hear this term.

Mostly in Hindu religion. For Example, Children are symbol of God.
(Pati Parmeshwar hai- Husband is God),(Maa Devi hai- Mother is God),{Mehmaan bhagwan ka roop hai- Guests are symbol of God},
If almost every one is God here, why should we go to temple for worship? This is just a observation.
