Palacio Taranco

This impressive 20th-century building was designed by French architects and now houses a decorative arts museum with Uruguayan furniture, clocks, paintings and more.
Attraction type: Art museum

This “Old City” by the harbor retains remnants of the past, like iron gates and colonial street lamps, and, with antique shops, museums and cafes, it’s a great place for browsing.

I call these words "safe words". Because you can say them anytime and it will be alright. It's like saying "umm" when you're thinking.

I'm one of those people who say "like", "basically", and "probably" a lot.

My other friends have their own words. What are yours?

muerto se quedo en la calle
con un punal en el pecho.
No lo conocia nadie
Como temblaba el farol
madre.
como temblaba el farolito
de la calle
era madrugada nadie
pudo asomarse a sus ojos
abiertos al duro aire.
que muerto se quedo en la calle que con un punal en el pecho
y que no lo conocia nadie

My boyfriend is Jewish, last night we went out to a restaurant and the owner mentioned he too was Jewish and they got to talking, when we left the owner pointed at me and asked if I was a "chitza" "chicza" [does anyone know how to spell it?] my boyfriend was stunned for a moment and asked what it meant and he said "A non-Jewish girl." when we got home he told his mom and she was PISSED. She said that was an insulting way of asking if I was Non-Jewish, basically the owner was calling me the N word.

Is this true?
