I've been in Spanish at school for 2 years and was in duel-language from kinder until fourth grade and I don't know how to say 'a shop' in Spanish!

please help

A small shop is "una tienda"
A mall is "un centro comercial"
A supermarket is "un supermercado"
To go shopping is "ir de compras"

una tienda? I don't speak spanish fluently but I have lived in Spanish speaking countries and everything is so specific in spanish. What kind of shop are you talking about? In general I've just used la tienda.

una tienda for a little shop but like a marketplace you would say "el mercado" or mercadito
