It all sounds like jibber jabber to people who doesn't know what they're saying. When we speak it probably sound like jibber jabber to them. See I know a little french so when I hear somebody speaking french, i can pick out bits and pieces of what they're saying. other than that I haven't got a clue to what they are saying.

When you compare how English is written to how it's spoken (articulation, the way words are separated when you go from one word to the next) and compare that to how written French compares to spoken French, you see a shocking difference. What that means, I'll leave it up to you. And you know what? I can speak French.

Because sounds like gibberish to you is words and sentences with meaning to them, dearie.
You should attempt to learn a few words of another language, it would make you appreciate language in general a lot more.

They understand each other because they are French, just as you understand English people. I think this question is very disparaging.
