I'm not a native speaker. So I try hard to learn English.
because I want to speak like a native speaker.
Anyways , my question is If I just listen English movie or that kind of stuff. Can I speak English with no problem ? I mean
even if I don't understand whole meaning of movie. If I listen a lot, some day can I understand meaning too? like what we did when we learned our first tongue.
and How long does it take ??

I've recently downloaded a "learn Japanese" program and i was just wondering about this because i can't seem to figure it out. What i'm spelling is supposed to be only in hiragana characters, and some words, like iie and hai are spelled the way they sound, while there are some, like ohayo gozaimasu, which has a character where there should be a space between the words, and konbanwa, where the "wa" character is replaced with the "ha" character. I'm very confused. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me why this happens and how i can know which way to type the sounds. thanks.

For some reason, some americans don't know this too, and will correct people who use English spellings and grammar.

I noticed that a lot of British people will call americans dumb because of how americans write.

Don't people realize that americans have completely different grammar rules???

Americans are taught American english not English in schools. It has nothing to do with stupidity.

For some reason, some americans don't know this too, and will correct people who use English spellings and grammar.

Not using English spellings, does not make one stupid or uneducated.

I've been studying Spanish for about 5 years and am highly advanced. I am still hesitant to say I am fluent, but can reasonably keep up well with native speakers, and can read and write it and can switch back and forth between Spanish and English well. But every now and then when I'm speaking English to someone, I suddenly want to respond to them in Spanish. Or sometimes I count in Spanish, without thinking about it, even if its a bit slower. And, I've noticed that after functioning in Spanish for a while, it takes a few moments to adjust back to English.

Has anyone else experienced ths?

Okay so, my brother's friend's sister's boyfriend (whoah...haha) is going to South Korea to teach english. But how did he get a job like that?! He doesn't even speak korean. Would countries really hire native english speakers to teach? If so, how do you "apply"?

=)

thanks
