I am interested particularly in Non - Hispanic Americans who speak Spanish (or at least enough to 'get by').

Is America becoming a bilingual country, now..is is possible to get by with just Spanish? Are non hispanic Americans accomodating to Spanish speakers..

I'm interested in both answers from personal experiance / opinion and also official statistics (if they exist)

Hi, I need to survey 25 people with the following question as part of my French homework.

Please state Oui/Yes or Non/No and you age range either "above (or equal to) 18" or "under 18".

A random answer in the first 25 answers will be chosen as the best answer. Thank you!

French: "As-tu déjà été un serveur ou une serveuse?"

English: "Have you already been a waiter/waitress?"

Please answer Oui/Yes or Non/No.

My hubby's company just went international, and he's been tentatively approached about moving to Singapore to set up the IT department. They're thinking it would be a 2 year appointment.

We, however, speak English, with a very basic smattering of Spanish. Would we survive on English, or will we learn a new language really REALLY quickly?

Thanks for your help! :-)
