I want to be alone in a crowd.

This oxymoron has been turned to music and is the subject of a novel. Sometimes one feels more alone in a crowd than in the solitude of one's room

"I want to be alone with you" is an oxymoron because it is a contradicting statement. If you want to be alone then you would be by yourself and nobody else. Its like rounded corners or soft rock.

Put the phrase in quotation marks. Otherwise it's not easy to know where the phrase is. ("I want to ___ alone" (?))
