If someone could translate any or all of the sentences below from english into spanish, and/or tell me if I've translated them correctly, I'd be so grateful!

1. It rained last night, and now, the streets are very wet. It is going to be slippery, so make sure your tires don't slip!

A; So far, I have: Looveron anoche, y ahora, las calles esta`n muy mojado. Ve a estar deslizadizo por eso..[need translation]

2.Don't drive above the speed limit, especially when you are transporting other passengers!

3. Be familiar with your car. For example, if you drive a big van, don't attempt to drive across a narrow bridge.

4.Don't talk on your cellphone while driving. Focus on the road

5. Always keep your driver's license with you.

6. Be refreshed while you're driving, don't drive while you feel sleepy or unfocused.

Thanks in advance!

I had studied French for 8 years in HS and college... Now I've been studying Chinese for 4 yrs and actually cannot speak French anymore without mixing Chinese into it. Sometimes I try to speak Chinese and it has some French in it. Is this unique to those who study Asian languages and why are some people able to remember multiple langauges without this problem of interchanging the words sometimes?

This weekend at one of my fiancé's family functions, his family kept calling him "mandelón". I asked him what it meant but he wouldn't tell me. It is some sort of Mexican slang word, because I speak Castilian Spanish and have never heard of it. Does anyone know what it means?

I am constructing a project in my Spanish class that requires me to have a food that starts with every letter of the English alphabet. Although the word in must start with that letter in spanish. I.E A = does not go with Apple which is manzana in spanish, the spanish word has to start with A. If anyone out there knows a good website or has time to write some out for me I would be more then happy to hand out 10 points. Thanks so much!

Newt Gangrich said speaking english is essential. Hey I agree with that.

But he followed up with, "speaking spanish is living in a Ghetto?"

That doesn't sound racist? I guess you can reason away anything you say now as long as you don't upset "the base". America is so divided its crazy and these guys aren't helping.

I'm going to the Dominican Republic on April 14th and I want to learn some spanish. I've been looking at some websites that offer free spanish lessons but wanted to know if anyone knew of any good ones. I don't want to have to pay so please don't tell me about any pay websites. I just want to know the basic things that I would need to know how to say when talking to a housekeeper and a bartender and those kind of people. Thanks

Post hoc ergo proctor hoc?

I know ergo is probably "therefore", and post is "after" so proctor must be "before", but I'm clueless...

"I'm excited about the future but I'm also a little nervous. I would like to be successful but to be happy is the most important thing. First of all though, I must face the upcoming exams. I hope they go well"

I'd use a translator but it won't give me the correct tense and I'm not sure how to put all that in the feminine...I'd be really grateful if you could help-thanks :D
