I am doing an assignment where I have to give directions from a map from one place to another. When you are telling someone to go on a street, do you say "a la avenida...." or "en la avenida...." Also, how do you say "go" in command form?
Thanks, I may ask more.

If you gonna say "in X street you gonna make a right" you say "En la calle X usted va a hacer una derecha" Street is "calle" avenue is "avenida." "Go" in a command is "vaya" ex.: "Go to the right..."="Vaya a la derecha..."

Vaya por la calle or por la avenida, it depends whether it is an avenue or a street.
Go to x street: vaya a la calle/ avenida X
Go in command form is Vaya (formal & sing) or Ve (informal & sing)
Vayan (plural)

go to the avenue/street = anda a la avenida/calle

go (command) = anda, ve (informal)

vaya (formal)

Edit:

go to the Peanuts Street = ve/vaya a la Calle Peanuts
follow the street X= sigue por la calle X

Depends who you're taking to, you can say

ve (tú) por la Avenida Grau o vaya (usted) por la avenida Grau
it means: "take Grau avenue"
