I think it is 'My friend will pay'. With that you are always okay, even when you are travelling penniless.

For instance, all "v"'s used to be pronounced "w". All "c"'s were hard "c"'s. "Venit" was "Wenit". "Excelsis" was "exkelsis". etc. What happened, and why? Is the church wrong when they sing the latin hymns this way?

People always claim the English language is the hardest to learn. So, in comparison, how hard is it to learn the Russian Language? On paper it looks like a beast. Almost makes the Chinese and Japanese Language whimper.

I am a native Spanish speaker learning English. My favorite phrase or quote in Spanish is: "El que no lo intenta no pierde, pero tampoco gana". And I translated it "Who does not try, does not lose, but neither wins." Is it correct?

My parents never taught me or my siblings how to speak a Ghanian dialect, and sometimes it makes me feel ashamed, and slightly embrassed. (Especially when we go on holiday). No matter how much we pleaded, their responce was,

'You dont have to learn a dialect, because everyone speaks English!!!

I feel that being a Ghanian is a big part of who I am, not being taught how to speak it is important to me and my siblings. We have all over compensated, we cant speak the language so we learn about the history and culture. Can anyone inform me of any books or places that I can learn to speak Twi or Ga in Surrey or London.

We would all appreciate the help. Thank you
