Why people learn Chinese. There are many reasons (everyone has their own reason), but here are some popular reasons to learn Chinese:
- You want to be involved in business and economics and want to have an edge over others in your field
- You are a Chinese person living in another country who wants to get back in touch with your heritage
- You are interested in Chinese culture, history, people, etc.
- You want to travel to China
- You want a job/career that requires Chinese (or foreign language skills)
- You have been to China and/or have many Chinese friends and want to be able to communicate better with the people

Difficulties:
This depends on your native language and what other languages you know. I assume you know English, so the difficulties for an English speaker are:
- Chinese is a tonal language, so the way you say a word/sound determines the meaning. English is not tonal, so you can say the same word with different stresses and pitches and it will remain the same (maybe it will sound funny, but the word itself does not change), but in Chinese, if you make the same sound in a different way, then you are saying a different word.
- The written language can seem daunting for those used to the 26 letter alphabet. It's actually not as bad as it may sound. Once you begin learning and understanding the language, most people actually like using the characters.

I am very cheerful on account that Youtube has plenty of educational movies for overseas language. Often there's a guy who says terms, and the phrases look at the display. Youtube has a few movies at 10 mins lengthy. When you be trained a overseas language you wish to invite, what do I wish to do with it. If you wish to be extra constructive and bold, I endorse Italian. If you wish to be extra delicate and definitely glad, I say French. If you wish to have an fun standpoint approximately matters, check out Chinese. If you wish integrity and ardour, check out Portuguese. If you wish to end up a person and quick, check out Norweigian.
