My parents never taught me or my siblings how to speak a Ghanian dialect, and sometimes it makes me feel ashamed, and slightly embrassed. (Especially when we go on holiday). No matter how much we pleaded, their responce was,

'You dont have to learn a dialect, because everyone speaks English!!!

I feel that being a Ghanian is a big part of who I am, not being taught how to speak it is important to me and my siblings. We have all over compensated, we cant speak the language so we learn about the history and culture. Can anyone inform me of any books or places that I can learn to speak Twi or Ga in Surrey or London.

We would all appreciate the help. Thank you

I am not from Ghana however, I strongly support people who wish to learn languages that are not often taught. I think it's great that you have taken interest in your heritage.

This is what I could find. I hope something helps!

I was unable to find any sources for the "Ga" language. Sorry. If you want to try to find a native speaker, if it is possible, you may want to go to a nearby university and post flyers or ask about the possibility of meeting with exchange students from Ghana to practice communicating.

I'm a sucker for a southern drawl. Dolly Parton Kelly Pickler Also, if ever there used to be a voice of an Angel on Earth it is that of Alison Krause. I'm amazed Poca did not point out Sir Paul. He's received a high-quality one nonetheless. Sam Elliott has been doing voice overs for years now -- I believe you on his.
