Can we not say "now" instead of "at this point in time", can we remember the time that grapes and bananas came in bunches not people [a journalist in my local paper actually spoke of someone losing "a bunch of fat"], and instead of 24/7, what about "all the time". Are you as fed up with these catchphrases as I am. Don't they impoverish the English language? Especially to writers, I want to scream, "Use a thesaurus".

This is the script:
Jose: Are you okay?
O-Sei-San: Oh, yes. I just slipped off from this slippery ground.
Jose: Let me pick your things up.
O-Sei-San: Thank you so much for helping.
Jose: You're welcome. I'm Jose by the way. How about yours?
O-Sei-San: Mine is Seiko Usui. Are we neighbors?
Jose: Yes. I can usually see you around here and It's so nice that we finally know each other.
O-Sei-San: Me, too but I have to go now to my samurai class.
Jose: Okay. I hope we could see each other soon.
O-Sei-San: I hope so. Goodbye!

In Ukraine freelance translators charge 3 EUR for translation from Englisn into Russian (for 250 words). I wonder how much do freelancers charge for written translation in Europe.
