My newlywed (long story) Mexican wife doesnt speak much English. She's always saying something about "seeda" and pointing to herself. Anyone have a clue what this means?

Okay, so I love languages. I'm a freshman in college, and I'm currently taking Japanese 101. Next semester I'm continuing Japanese but also starting Spanish 201. I'm majoring in International Business(even though I'm not entirely sure that's the kind of field I want to go into, but I wanted to do something involving other cultures and languages). But yeah so I've been contemplating whether or not I should skip Spanish and switch to Japanese. I'd probably take Spanish next semester, but should I try starting Chinese afterwards? I don't really know. I just wanted some suggestions.

I'm looking for a good site that has exapmles, uses, and explanations of various Spanish grammar forms (Yo, Tu, Usted etc.)in different tenses (Preterite, imperfect, Imperative etc.)Prefereably with verb conjugations, but not required. I plan to print a few pages to supplement my Spanish classes.

4 can be yon or shi; 7 can be nana or shichi, and 9 is ku or kyu. Does one choice come from one dialect? If so, which is which? I understand there was a vanishing or struggling minority people who still live or lived until recently on either Hokkaido or the island just to the south of it. Innu? They were called Innu?

I was at the INS interview when the person behind me was called in first. I asked them why and they said because she only spoke spanish so she is going to an interviewer who spoke spanish too.

So here I am telling someone that I am just "giving them the gears" and of course what do they do --- ask "where the heck did that expressions come from?"

Google google google ... DOH! no answer.

So maybe someone here knows where the expression came from.

Guys, thanks for the answers... but try to work on the improved paragraph:

"Along {because it is the third paragraph of my text and it is 'along' the author's work} Bilingualism, Individual {this is the article's name, so I mantained it}, XXXXXXX explains the contributions of the studies on bilingualism under different sciences. He {the author} introduces the reader to concepts related to the bilingual’s linguistic behavior (Psychology), to the subject matters of Psycholinguistics of Bilingualism as well as to the Neurolinguistics of Bilingualism’s."

Now I think you can understand it better.

I know you are not supposed to touch the inside of your mouth with your tongue. But should you kind of tilt the tip of your tongue upwards, or should you raise the back of your tongue instead.
