I was speaking the other day to someone who knew 4 languages other then english. I was wondering if maybe if we set out minds to it we could actually speak all the languages in the world. Do you think we're lazy in that we assume everywhere in the world will cater just for english since many of us only know this language only?

Please, would someone help me to read this. I've been to China for business, and now I need to submit some papers to the accounting (hotel invoices, train tickets and so on) 1), 2),3) are written on the train tickets, and 4) is written on the hotel invoice.
What does 1), 2), 3) and 4) mean? Thanks a lot in advance...

I was filling something out today and it asked if I was "Mr.", "Mrs", "Miss", or "Ms.". I always thought that "Miss" and "Ms." meant the same thing, like an unmarried woman. What is the difference?
