habib means lover or loved one.
if it's accompanied by "the prophit" (al-rasool al-habib) then it means Mohammad the prophit.
it's usually used with "al" in the beginning which stands for "the" in english.
it's a masculan name, but if u hear it in songs, then it might be both feminine or masculan as songs tend to be general.
habibi = means MY love, adding the "i" at the end is like adding "my" in english, it's only used for males
habibti = my love (females)
