This year I will be spending Thanksgiving home alone. My family and friends have already made prior arrangements in which it is not an option for me to be included, so it will just be my cats in me.

So far I am thinking that renting a couple holiday themed movies might be fun, and cooking will definitely be fun - I would love some ideas for which movies, and what should I cook that will be reasonable for one person? What other activities will make me feel not as lonely? I'm used to having big family events, so this will be difficult.

I know there is a lot of time to go until Thanksgiving, but planning early will not hurt anything!

I am the only man in my family that brings home made apple pies, pecan pies, peach cobbler and enchiladas etc. to holiday gatherings. Does anyone think this is strange?

Its my favorite holiday. No presents, just a good meal with a good theme.....being grateful for all we have and who we are. How do you celebrate?

I have always asked this question and never gotten a proper answer. Thanksgiving is supposed to be a special time where we all celebrate the peaceful feast with the Native Americans. But it was all an evil plan, right after that we killed most of the Native Americans. So basically, we're celebrating that we have a strong nation who could kill people for no reason and we did!!!!!!!!!! That doesn't seem like the friendliest country to me!

So what is everyone doing for Thanksgiving Day 2007?
It falls on November 22nd.
Lucky me, it's my birthday.
Anyone going to the Macy's Parade in NYC?

I live in Orange County and was wondering if anyone new of any charities that my family could volunteer for during the holiday season. I always end up waiting to the last minute, so I was hoping not to do that this time around. Thanks.

No, I am not a vegetarian and I love roast turkey, but just wanted some suggestions RE: veggies. Other side dish suggestions would also be appreciated.

The smell was awful. I just thought my tummy was a victim of brown bottle flu. I have not caught that flu for many years now, and I always check the turkey's bottom.

For our annual Christmas Party, we will be playing a variation on the game "Family Feud." As you may know, this game requires people to guess at that the results of various public survey's. We thought it might be a good idea to post some of those survey questions here, and see what kind of results we get. So please feel free to respond with a single answer choice; all earnest answers are greatly appreciated.

Today's question is "What one food item (please pick only one) do you think of when you think of the TRADITIONAL American Thanksgiving dinner, besides Turkey?" Thanks!
