Everyday should be a day of thanks for something. Ya never really realize what you have until it's gone. Now eat up and be thankful for that full belly. A nice red tomato to top it off.

Congrats on Level 2. Great % btw :)

Actuall, the Pilgrims are no longer the reason we've Thanksgiving. they did no longer have the 1st Thanksgiving, no longer even in this continent. the real reason we have fun Thanksgiving is by using the fact interior the 1800s, Sarah Hale, mag editor, went on a 40 3 hundred and sixty 5 days letter writing campaign to envision it as a trip... she felt the commercial Revolutio became eroding American values and we wanted a party centred on hearth & homestead. Lincoln gave it to her interior the 1860s... and Congress ultimately exceeded it interior the Nineteen Thirties. And the historic previous books latched onto a romanticized tale approximately Pilgrims and THEIR first Thanksgiving, and someway that became flawed because of the fact the 1st Thanksgiving. they simply had one dinner... and there wasn't yet another one for over a hundred and twenty years. And it became over 200 years in the previous it became a trip. Or in case you rather need to circulate returned further than that, the roots of the trip is in harvest gala's.

I would say there is a need to celebrate a Thanksgiving day on the month of September because it in this month Blessed Mother Mary's Birthday. We have to thank her for all the blessings we have received.

Have a wonderful day! Congratulations you made it in the second level in record's time. Good for you to make up for everything you don't deserve to lost.

Sounds like a good idea to me! Every year I have Thanksgiving in May. I cook a big Thanksgiving dinner and invite all my FRIENDS ( not family) to the celebration. During November everyone is so busy celebrating with family I never get the chance to celebrate with friends and let them know how truly thankful I am to have them in my life. So...May works. Plus people are not sick at the sight of turkey and gravy in May.

Celebrate whenever YOU want. Even Canada has a different Thanksgiving Day than the United States.

You can celebrate Thanksgiving whenever you want. You won't get the day off until Nov. 22nd.

Canadians celebrate their Thanksgiving in October- October 8th this year.

You may have some difficulties getting the side dishes or specialized foods that are available in November, though.

we had a "thanksgiving" dinner a few nights ago. turkey, dressing, the works just because it sounded good!

i do have a friend who's family celebrated thanksgiving and christmas in august a few years ago. he was in the military and was going to be deployed over the holidays. his family decided he shouldn't miss out. even though it was not traditional, he still got his holidays with his family before he left.

If only. I have a friend who has a birthday very close to Thanksgiving. We both hate the day and when I try to make her birthday a special day for her, she gets pissy about Thanksgivings day being so close.

I cooked a traditional English Christmas dinner in September once for a friend that missed the previous Christmas because she was in hospital. So why not.

Thanksgiving is not about dates my dear friend. It's about sharing in the company of good friends and being thankful for our blessings.
