I would like to know about things Indian Christians do in the holidays. I do know that western traditions are the norm like Santa Clause but I want to know more. If you want, you can write about traditions from a specifc state or city.

Christmas now a days is completely about the gifts (bigger the better), how much money u spent, Santa and the Elves. I feel like everyone has forgotten the true meaning of Christmas. Now a days its a Sin to even wish people a Merry Christmas we have got accustomed to saying Happy Holidays And Season Greetings!!!!! My Question is are u happy with the way society is now treating Christmas and how are u putting Christ back into Christmas!!!!

We have a large family.....and not the most motivated! When the whole group is together it tends to be two or three people getting dinner ready, and the same people cleaning up afterwards.

In the past we have wrapped up gifts for everyone from the Dollar Store. They received their gifts at the door (unexpectedly) and everyone's gift indicated what their job was (Table cloth - they set the table, Dish cloth - wash dishes, Santa hat - handed out gifts, Pot scrubber, etc.) We had a lot of fun with it, heckling those with junk jobs and trading up for the good jobs. (One person got a tiara and instead of a job they had "Immunity".)

Anyone have any other ideas to get everyone involved in setting up and cleaning up at a holiday party, when they won't do it voluntarily??

My parents aren't very religious. They only celebrate Christmas mostly for presents and family time. I can understand that. The thing is they want me to stay the night. Most people that may not seem like a problem, but at my parents it constutes as sleeping on the floor, sometimes they will give us a mattress but most of the time they give us dirty sheets. This may not sound like a problem but they have an extra bed they refuse to let us use. My nephew will be over for the holiday also and my mom has bought him $200 worth of gifts, his parents have bought him $250 worth, and we also got him about $50 dollars worth. So he will be getting a lot of gifts, my daughter however will only be getting the $50 worth that my husband and I bought her. I know that Christmas is about Christ and I don't care about presents, but at the same time I don't think it fair to take my daughter over to their house to watch him open presents, and her not have very many. Also if I don't go over there I

Ook, so today, my crush (we're not together) gave a me REALLY HUGE stuffed animal with some roses.
Lol. This is why I like him.
So, I felt a little guilty because I didn't get him anything.
It's winter break now and when we come back from school, Christmas would be over.
It would be kinda weird to give him a present after Christmas.
I decided to wait until Valentines day.
Do you think it's kinda weird to give roses to a guy?
Or should I get him chocolate?
If you have any other ideas, please share it with me.
Thank You.

I know plenty of Muslims who drink alcohol.. but do not eat pork. Is one more of a sin than the other or are these two things equal? Thank you.

It's the Holidays, very busy, sometimes depressing. Does anyone have any GOOD news to share?

a boy 3 years old and a girl 13 months old.

They like the typical things.
I havent gone shopping yet, I'm going tomorrow.
Looking for gifts under $25 each. Before I would spend money on one big gift(for my son), and it seems to get pushed aside because they prefer the smaller gifts.

i'm not buying them clothes, or blankets for christmas.

What are some good non-candy stocking stuffers?

Every year my family does a family game. It's mine turn to choose what we do. Usually, we hide the gifts and make a crossword puzzle with a list of where we hide the things, scrambled tiles saying where it is. You don't need to give me places to hide, just the games. We've already done a crossword puzzle, word search, and scrambled tiles. Can you help me think of something else.

"This is your real present. No matter how hard I try, I have already given you the most valuable thing I have – my love for you. You have made the time I have spent with you the best time of my life, and I’m looking forward to all the wonderful things I get to share with you. You are the best man that I have ever known, and I feel so lucky and glad to have you as a part of my life. I just want to do the best I can to be good to you, and to make you as happy as you have made me. It seems like the longer I spend with you, the more I love you and the more things I find out that let me know how special you truly are. Loving you is a great adventure, and I am definitely along for the ride. I was telling you the truth when I said that I have gotten everything I ever wanted this year – you are so much more than I ever could have imagined to hope for, and I can’t think of anything else I’ll ever need. Merry Christmas, baby.
