It's Christmas Day, but I feel so bad! This is horrible.
I'm not Christian. Christmas for me is spending a wonderful day with all my of family, at one of their houses. We cook, we eat, we talk, we have a good time. But Christmas has turned so commercial. It really pulls you in. You feel like you NEED a good present, and you NEED to get someone else a good present. If you don't, you feel disappointed and grumpy.

Someone get me out of this commercial-x-mas bad spirit. I feel like I've sinned or something, because I feel so selfish. I got a small, cheap, crappy present from my parents, who really did not know what I actually wanted...I didn't like it, so now I feel horrible, since I know that I am so lucky to have parents who have the money and the time to make Christmas happen. I know that there are people out there who don't have that privilege. How could I be so greedy?

Someone help me here. Help me get over the commercialness of X-mas.

I live in a town that is 95% black, I work at a school program for all black children, and scarcely see white people. I have never met one person that celebrates Kwanzaa. Why is this?

This is my first "real" Christmas, so I don't know exactly what that is supposed to smell like, so I started baking last night. I have made fresh baked bread and cinnamon rolls, and have had a nice hearty beef stew going in the crock pot all day. I have so many apple scented candles burning in my house it looks like a black mass. Everyone who comes over is getting peppermint tea (with schnapps) and the only thing I can think of that I left out is pine smell. Should I just mop the bathroom, kitchen and entry way tile with Pine-Sol and forget about it?

What if they were above the Arctic circle in Northern summer when Ramadan occurred.
The sun doesn't set for 6/8 weeks
That would mean they couldn't eat or drink for 28/9 days.
We are told that the message has been sent everywhere and those that don't believe will go to hell.
Maybe the Inuit and Laps would rather burn than starve or thirst.

I walking into my front room and I saw this guy so I just smacked him straight away on the head with the saucepan. Ever since I was young my parents verbal abused me almost everyday, even on Christmas. But it didn't get to me until I was 14 (when I stopped being in denial). There was not a bit of good Christmas for me in my life. There were no friends and no relatives (because my parents wouldn't let them visit). I feel so sad when I see parents concentrating on giving their kids the best Christmas while all my parents gave me was "punishment" for being born stupid or mentally disabled.

All I wanted from them is to stop abusing me and give me all the love I needed from them. They kept on saying that I deserved all the "punishment" because I was an unwanted child (I became unwanted after they found out I was a girl and that I had a severe learning disabilities). They accused me of making their lives unfortunate.

As his early gift tonight when we exchange gifts with my mom step dad and brother?

The big gift is a tool box filled with new tools.

The smaller gifts are a power screwdriver and then a caddy with lots of nails, screws and wall anchors.

I think if he opens a smaller gift he'll figure out the big one. (It's wrapped oddly because of it's shape.)

not to sound like a grumpy scrooge but do u find xmas exciting anymore.
im 13 and i feel kinda happy about xmas i just dont feel that excitement anymore, u no them butterflies in your stomach kind of thing. it might be part of growing up i dunno. duz anybody else feel the same.....
