As his early gift tonight when we exchange gifts with my mom step dad and brother?

The big gift is a tool box filled with new tools.

The smaller gifts are a power screwdriver and then a caddy with lots of nails, screws and wall anchors.

I think if he opens a smaller gift he'll figure out the big one. (It's wrapped oddly because of it's shape.)

Which should I let him open?

To Jennifer and Joe, who were very rude, we just bought a new place and have a very megar tool box. He's becomming a regular Mr Fix it and thought new tools would be nice.

BTW he's not into porn, or strippers. (for Christmas!? Common now!)

The power screwdriver is a stand alone gift that probably wouldn't hint at the tool box.

In my opinion, I think that you should run out to the store VERY quickly, and buy something that doesn't have to do with tools at all.

And if you don't want to do that, let him open the little present. If he opens the big present today, and the little present later, he won't be as excited.

Atleast if he opens the small one today, and DOES figure out what the big one is, he'll be very excited for Christmas morning!

Give him the smaller gift first. It's human nature to be disappointed is you have something of more value followed by something of less value. For example, would you want a job for 40K a year if you just worked for 50K?

Well, save your receipts! Why would you buy tools or hardware, or clothes, for that matter, for your man? Granted, I have hurt the feelings of several women in my life by strongly hinting that they NOT pick out my clothes! Saw truely horrible results of this on the backs of my father and father in law while growing up!

Perhaps a gift certificate to Barnes & Noble or Trader Joe's. A gift cert. for a car wash with detail? A free lap dance (you could go with him!) Something to eat? My bro is very wealthy. Buying "stuff" for him is taboo. His 5,500 sq.ft. house is loaded with crap and he has two rented storage lockers!

I'd give him one of the small gifts... If you give him the big one now, he has nothing to look forward to tomorrow... But if you give him the little gift, even if he does figure out the big one, he still has something to be excited about for tomorrow.

No offense, but how cliche!?! Why don't you throw in some socks and a tie!

This is a gift for a 50 yr old - Is he this old?

Marriage doesn't = crap gifts.

Spice it up. Get wild. Order him his favortie porn or hire a stripper! Get him an autograph of his favorite band.

Sorry, but seems boring and implies more work for him now that he has tools.

Happy Holidays!

Wrap yourself up instead, and tell em your better than any Christmas gift you could have given him.
Merry Christmas
