At thirteen you are beginning on a downward path as you leave childhood. But it's not all bad the adult things become more exciting, which up 'till now you may have felt weird.
Then you'll find some soul mate, and maybe have kids and it will all start overe. It'll be different, but if it was the same it would be boring, but it will be good.
I remember my teens - some brill memories some horendous - Glad I didn't miss them . Now 67 and still love life although for different reasons.
Good luck and in the meantime enjoy Christmas in a merry way.

I'm sure everybody goes through that at some point or another. What did you used to get excited about, the presents for you? Many people don't so much get excited about their presents, but at spending time with their family, and giving gifts to others. I get extremely excited around Christmas, because I love watching my daughter open her presents and spend time with all of my family.

I probably won't find Christmas exciting again until I have kids. Spending it alone takes the magic out. Next year I want to spend the holidays with my best friend in the Magic Kingdom at Disney World. That's probably help with the boredom...take a trip and spend time with people you love (not necessarily family).

i feel exactly the same way... and i'm 13 too. the season seems to go by so fast now. i miss everything i used to do as a child. you know, stay up waiting for santa, waking up early christmas morning, puting out cookies, and the whole bit. i think i'm happier for winter break than i am for christmas. it's pretty sad... but i just don't feel that excited either. and i hope you have a merry christmas. :)

yeah.. hate to say it.. but it's just a part of growing up. it was exciting then cuz you anticipated santa coming.. and all u were interested in was being greedy and seeing what you got under the tree!
not that presents aren't awesome..
but now u know that that is not all that matters in your life.. and it's not as glamorous anymore..
try and remember the real meaning of CHRISTmas.

I'm excited, but not in the same sense.
I used to be excited at the thought of Santa. I'm now excited to see the expressions on peoples faces as they give & recieve gifts. =]

i'm the same. i'm still waiting for that feeling. but there's a good chance it'll never come :) i guess cause i have no santa to look forward to anymore ever since i found out the hard way who was REALLY eating the cookies (i saw my family eating them & putting the presents under the tree when i was 6. so sad,so very sad..) & i'm not all that materialistic so i'm not really looking forward to the presents either. i'm really just looking forward to the coco [x
