Hey folks.

I thought it might be interesting to ask where the most interesting place it was you ever spent Christmas. I have a friend of a friend who spent Christmas in jail. He said it was interesting, but kind of a sad day. I know another person who spent Christmas volunteering in a war zone.

What's the most interesting place you ever spent Christmas? What made it interesting and did it still feel like Christmas?

Should be interesting to read about people's experiences.

After seeing what the holiday season can do to some people, how do you enjoy the holidaze?

Working in retail, I get to see the real negative side of some folks. How parents will scour the earth looking for "That Gift". A small percentage will simply get irate with you if you can't deliver.

They have forgotten what Christmas is all about.

I used to work for K-Mart when the Cabbage Patch Craze, the Glo Worm, Masters of the Universe, Transformers etc, etc. drove customers MAD! For me, Christmas lasted 3 months or longer feeling like I was in a battle zone at times.

What are some of your retail customer horror stories?

How about how you went out of your way to successfully satisfy a customer who was about to go home and cry?

Ok, so my parents are split up but they have remained friends. My mom is remarried and he has kids, all older than myself, I'm 21. My dad has had a rough couple years and is in a little bit of a financial bind. Although he opened his own business and things look to sure be better soon. I don't have a lot of money for gifts and I really want to make it special because none of us have money for gifts. I wish I could give them the world but obviously thats a wish. We will pry go to Christmas and do some other fun things but I need some ideas for some meaningful gifts. The ppl that lived in my dads house before us painted his room wild colors and I've thought about painting his room while he's at work a color he'd love. Will it work in the winter in Iowa? Also I want to get my mom, step-dad, 28 yr old brother, and his 22 year old gf gifts. And real ideas would be great. My dad loves everything, my mom and step dad love antiques and are home-bodies. Thanks and Merry Christmas, God Bless!

My brother in-laws girlfriend( who I went to school with 5 yrs ago, but wasn't friends with) bought my husband and I a gift card for Christmas. Am I obligated to purchase her a present even though in the six months that they've been dating i've only seen her once, and i don't particularly like her.
My opinion is " NO" , but my in-laws think that i need too? What's you opinion?

The 4th of July isn't the 3rd it's the fourth. Yea I know it's also independence day. The Holiday is Christmas. Haunaka is a minor day to Jews. Kwanzaa is a joke. Since when is a religion that celebrates smoking pot taken seriously? Nothing against the spleef but it's a joke.
The attitude is driven by insurance companies who won't cover law suits from saying Merry Christmas. Any one who sues for this is a jerk. Now I'm an agnostic and have no use for religion but the holiday is Christmas.
I don't blame liberals for it because a lot of them are against this nonsense. Most are spiritual and religious. I do blame the politically correct crowd because this is just stupid. Now the holiday just stands for greed. The commercials are telling you you should hint that you want a Lexus or a Lincoln.
It's time to tell retailers Christmas is the holiday I suggest you don't shop at places that are doing this. That's almost everyone this year. Maybe the bottom line will wake them up.
