Every parent figure that I have had in my life has died. My mom died twenty years ago, her funeral was on my 5th birthday, my dad two years ago, my aunt, that raised me after my mom passed, died unexpectadly two years ago. She passed out and never regained conciousness, the next morning she died. My uncle that helped rasie me died in Feburary of this year of prostate cancer. And noe that it's time to be all smiley and happy I don't. I try not to focus on these things but at times like these I can't help it. What do you guys suggest I do to cheer myself up? How can I get that christmas spirit?

I need to give my friend a gift for Chrismas, Tommorow! My mom said that the only store she is taking me to is Wal-Mart. We are going in about 1 hour. I have no idea what to get her!
I am not getting her clothes from Wal-Mart.
She is not interested in movies or music.
She gave me body lotion and body spray from Bath and Body Works, so I do not want to get her the same things.
btw, she is 13.
thanks!!!

I have very little money to spend on gifts this year but I heard of giving gifts that are really cheap but very meaningful, like a candle with a note that says "you're the light of my life" and that sort of thing. Any ideas anyone?

I want to spend less than $20. Also, I'm crafty--I can sew and crochet. But, I'm flying so it needs to be smallish.

My mom love musical theater and reading. She has a funky sense of style. She's in her early 40s. I asked her what she wanted, and she said 'Don't spend your money on me!', but i know that come Christmas time, my mom will be bitter is she doesn;t get any presents. Mind you, I'm a fourteen year old working of a tight babysitting budget. So what should I do?
**ALSO** What should my dad get her... he's stumped too!

so why bother? we should do good to others every day of the year, regardless of whether it's Christmas or not.

My manager made home made chocolate for everyone and put there names on it and gave it to everyone in our department.

Do u think I should eat it, what if she spit in it or something, I'm not sure how she feels about me as an employee because she rarely talks to me.

What is it that you like about it?
This year, due to the way I'm paid at work, I'll be one of those weekend-before Christmas shoppers. Any tips? Anything to avoid/look forward to?
{My father does it every year and my mom, sister and I always poke fun at him...we say that he goes to the annual "Men's shopping night" to hang out with his friends. lol.}

Thanks and Merry Christmas!
;-)

I have been dating a really wonderful man for a few months now. I have never been happier with anyone else and we are in love. My question is this: I want to get him something for Christmas, but I'm not sure if I'm leaning in the right direction. He lives in an efficiency apartment and has basically no dishes, no basic kitchenware, not too many bath supplies (he has these really tiny Army towels that I loath). His sheets are not that comfortable, etc. He's quite happy with himself because he was a bachelor for so long and did not feel as though he needed much. He's also in the Army and very minimalistic and basic when it comes to things. I want to get him something practical like kitchenware or really nice sheets or big fluffy towels, but I'm afraid he'll think that's too impersonal. What do you think?
