Since I haven't had any Christmas spirit in over 10 years, I don't celebrate Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. I don't have any Christmas stuff and my home isn't decorated at all. I'm not closed to my family and I don't have any friends. So I just go online, watch news, eat, and sleep (I've been doing that for over 10 years).

So any of you that don't have any Christmas stuff or anybody in your life that you spend Christmas Eve/Day alone just like any other regular day?

And have you ever regifted? If so, what was it? Did the person ever find out it was a regift?

Just FYI, a "regift" is a gift that you receive that you give as a gift to someone else.

Have you put water in the tree today? Trees can go through a gallon of water a day, don't let them dry out and become a fire hazard.

Did you know that holly and mistle toe are poisonous? Careful around pets and children. Also pointsettia plants are a danger.

Do you light candles? Please make sure those are in a safe place and alway extinguised before going to bed.

Let's make this holiday a safer one. : )

I was a student whose spending money was quite meager then but I saved enough of it to buy my mother a dark green set of dinner plates, mugs and platters that I saw on a shop window everytime I walked to and from the bus stop.
I didn't realize that it was very heavy. I decided to bring it home for Christmas and took it on the plane with me. It got more and more heavy by the minute as I waited on line. I t would not fit into the overhead cabinets after much help by other passengers so it was very embarrassing as the plane crew tried to help accommodate and decide where my plates would go.

The nice ending was that Mom loved them and so did the rest of my family. But I still get embarrassed when I think about all the fuss it caused.

People use these terms " Happy Holidays" when they have pictures of Christmas ornaments in the background. Can't people and business say what they celebrate to people like for example: Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, or Happy Hanukkah. I can't stand it when they are so vague in using "happy holidays". What's so offensive back listing specific holidays? Stores have christmas pictures all over the place but they use "happy holidays". I don't see too many hanukkah pictures or too many kwanzaa things drawn. It just make things sound more vague and unclear. If I hear the quote " happy holidays" (when they play Christmas music) or see "happy holidays" (when they have a particular holiday's pictures of TV) I want to just destroy something. We've got to fight this battle guys and try to stop it where its at RIGHT NOW!!! Bye.

One of our neighbors boasts he does not believe in God - or Jesus - or anything Biblical. That is fine - to each his own. We all have a right to believe or not believe as we see fit. But, he is the first on our block to erect giant Christmas scenes, flashing lights, and he even put that annoying wreath on the grille of his mini-van. Could he be a closet-Christian or is he just a hypocrite ?

I don't understand why, in general, "happy Christmas" is said in England while "merry Christmas" is said in America. Is there any particular reason for this?

I've been looking and looking for something to get my girlfriend for Christmas, and I'm really having trouble finding something to purchase for her. She is 15 years old, not athletic, i guess you could call her "scene/emo...ish". Can you give me some ideas on what types of gifts i can buy for her. I have a price limit for $40.
Thank You :]

I get meltable white chocolate (the fondu kind that dries .... u make choc. covered oreas and stuff with it .. haha) and seperate it into two pots. In one, you put in green food dye, the other red. you then hold a candy cane by the hook and dip only the straight part in one of the colors. once the chocolate dries, you dip it in the other, but not as high, for a festive layered look.

I tried it and thought it had a unexpecting, but DELICIOUS taste. What do you think??
