I don't see an issue with it.

Was it worth arguing over?

Sometimes you need to pick your battles.

I am sure the kids would be more upset about you fighting than leaving some celery and carrots for santa.

Since its common for someone to sneak out and eat some of the food and leave crumbs for the kids to find I suggest you leave out something that you want to eat.

Mayby a comprimise is in order, 1 cookie some milk and some veggies too.

Just make your wife sneak down and eat the veggies while you sneak and eat the cookie.

I think ill tell my son santa likes pizza.... with black olives...

yum i cant wait till christmas now...

You might have to if you live in India. Besides does the same old cookies at ever house get kinda boring sometimes ? My family gives Santa something he wants: A Bottle of Dark Heineken, Specialty Pizza with Artichoke Hearts and Sirloin Steak slices on it. For dessert Chocolate Mousse with a rum and hints of Drambuie in it.

We leave cookies and carrots, so Santa has a choice! We know he's trying to eat healthier, but he works hard on Christmas Eve, and sometimes when you work hard, you're entitled to a treat!

And kids can learn that while a healthy diet is best, it's okay to have a treat once in a while.

I think it's a little much, if she's so gung-ho about health, maybe compromise with some low fat/low sugar cookies, throw in some nuts on the cookies so you can say it's "good for Santa's heart" or something.

Your wife is stupid.
No offense.
Just talk her into leaving cookies for santa, and carrots for the reindeer.
