My boyfriend is shipping out to training for the Army in January. I'd like to get him a very special christmas gift this year, but I'm stumped. I want it to be something he may be able to keep with him while he's gone to know that I care about him.
He has no specific hobbies that require any items.

Well my long time gf says she doesn’t want anything for Christmas. its her worst holiday, she says. We told each other were not getting each other nothing, I only said that cause she’s the first girlfriend to say she doesn’t want anything, kind of in shock. I want to get her something but not sure how she would take it. I’m sure she's not getting me anything cause of financial reason, she started going back to school.

I don’t care if i get anything but she's special to me and i want to show it. the only people she's getting gifts for is her family. I would feel weird if I did’nt get her anything ITS CHRISTMAS for sake

I'm a 14 year old girl, every friday my nephews (6 and 4 years of age) come up and as it is starting to get near christmas i would like to do some christmas activities with them, I was woundering if anyone has any great and fun ideas...that maybe they did with there own kids or yound family member of just of the top of their heads. most years for xmas i have cooked for family and it's been great!!
i do lots of cooking for family
ie birthday treats/bbqs!
anyway, for the last 2 years I have cooked for my hubby and kids and my mum cooks for my brothers,sisters etc!!

I just feel that just for 1 year it would be nice for mum to ask her grandchildren to dinner
she has not got the room for everyone but my brothers and sisters are in their 40's so they could do something themselves!???
my children and my hubby and i have never been asked!!

I spent the Thanksgiving holiday with my boyfriend and his family this year. While there, he mentiond to me that they were all talking about putting a little money together to get me somethng nice for Christmas or to each get me something small.....well, after hearing this I decided to get them all giftcards for Christmas....
Wil they think I am just trying to buy my way into the family, or will they see it as a nice gesture?
Also, will they expect the same or more next year?

OK when it is My Birthday you don't get a present and vise verse. So my question is why do we give presents to one another at Christmas when it is Jesus Birthday? If everyone jumped off the cliff would you..NO! I am thinking maybe we are to do for others that are less fortunate then us. And I know this doesn't sound fun but stop the Christmas shopping, think of how many will have a calmer Christmas, not worrying about buying the prefect gift.
