i'm a bloke; should i wrap em' now or stick with the late chritmas eve tradition. Or should I hire in a special maid or christmas present wrapper to do the task?

While picking my children up from school, two aides put them in our car. One classroom aide said "have a wonderful holiday hope you get a ton of presents for Christmas!!" I know she had the best of intentions for the children but I got angry. I want my children to celebrate the birth of Christ and spirit of giving. I want them to realize that presents aren't the only reason why we have Christmas. Was I wrong to feel angry about the "tons of presents"? My family is struggling financially right now so any present the kids get right now is taking away from paying bills and buying food for my family. I got them presents but who's to say "tons" is what they need or should have. Why isn't two or three presents okay anymore? Why do we have to indulge our children to their self destruction? Okay I guess I have asked more like 5 questions but what do you think?

In need please read! ideas for a mircle!?
i already faced the fact my family wont be having gifts this year. it was a rough year for us and i tried toys for tots n salvation army but i was too late in signing up i didnt know my hubby would be laid off! but anyway what im asking i still want to celebrate , any ideas my kids r ages 18 girl 17 boy 16 girl 14 girl 12 boy and my baby grandson whom is 4 months old, is there anything we can do to make the holidays alittle brighter with no gifts! thank u and serious answers only!! merry christmas n god bless

I really do not feel as if Christmas is approaching in only a week. It feels nothing like Christmas here, as temperatures got up to almost 60 degrees this week (I live near New York City). Seems like all this foolishness about xmas tree's took affect when the airport was afraid of being sued because of a rabbi trying to have his little gizmo on display too, so they took down their tree, all their staff was totally against it. Now we've got judges taking offense at a xmas tree. Get real people! Glad xmas is for children because the adults are sure ruining a good thing for kids! Should we now have a grudge against Judaism?

My boyfriend & I are in a pickle over the Santa present thing w/ our 4 yr old. I think that almost all of the presents should be from Santa - probably 75% of my presents were from Santa, 25% were from my parents when I was younger. My boyfriend thinks that only the best/most expensive present should be from Santa & the rest should be from us - very few of his presents were from Santa when he was younger. So, we are wondering how the majority of you do this. On Christmas morning, how many presents are from Santa & how many are from you?
