I won't be working this Christmas but I was a Landlady of a pub for 17 years so I worked every Christmas day every year and I really enjoyed it...I still tell people it was the best shift of all cos everyone was happy and wanted to show off their gifts they had received...To all the folks who work over the Christmas and New Year I say "Thankyou for keeping all our services going whether the Police, Fire, Ambulance, Hospitals, Social Services, Hospitality etc and a "BIG Thankyou" to all the folk who give up their Christmas day voluntarily with no payments and non expected to provide a Christmas Dinner for the hundreds of people without a proper home or on their own all day with no one else to visit them".

No, but I'll be home alone as my husband is a Prison Officer and son is an Air Traffic Controller and they're both working.

my brother works in a pharmacy and hes workin g on christmas day.
hes getting paid tripple pay
