With all the time, energy, and money you expend beating traffic and walking through crowded malls, buying gifts, attending parties, etc., how do you feel about the holiday season?

I get VERY excited about Christmas! It's hard for my husband, who works retail, but we always focus on the special reason we even have this wonderful "holiday" in the 1st place. Our children are always involved in our church's Living Nativity, and they look forward to it each year. We don't go overboard in the gift area, why bother. And we don't, however, celebrate "x-mas"....what's that!! :)
You have to also limit your amount of Christmas parties to attend. If you plan to spread yourself too thin, then also plan to be stressed for no reason. And, you know stressed is desserts spelled backwards, so that'll add to your waistline! Keep it simple and enjoy it!

Happy Birthday, Jesus!!
Merry Christmas to all! :)

I love the holiday season. I still get very excited. I love the lights, the baking, the music, the gift wrapping. I love cuddling up with the kids and watching Christmas movies--the only light coming from the tv and Christmas tree. I love staying up late on Christmas Eve with my hubby and setting up all the gifts from Santa. I love waking up when it is still dark and opening presents and then eating breakfast. Then we all cuddle up on the couch or in bed and take a nap. Christmas is the best. Sure, there is a lot of stress and I have some personal reasons to dread the season but despite all of that, Christmas is a great time for our family.

yes and Christmas will always be like that for me.
i don't know too but knowing Christmas is coming i am so excited. giving gifts to your family, hanging socks on the Christmas tree, preparing ham and some delights. wearing coats, eating chocolates and fruits and a lot more. they said it is tradition but it is more than tradition.. the feeling is different especially when you hear the caroling and seeing lights here and there. c")
Merry Christmas in advance!!

Honestly, I usually LOVE Christmas...plus, it;s about the ONLY thing taht gets me thru winter, snow and cold. But his year, I can't even fake the enthusiasim...I don't know why? However, my hubby and I are finally getting the shopping done for the kids today so maybe that will help. Of course, reading posts liek yours is pretty infectious..I can;t help BUT smile and remember what I love about Christmas. So I guess I should suck it up, literally, and grab some spirit eh? Thank you! :)
