I believe that I am Santa for those who I love. When my daughter was little I let her believe in the myth of the jolly old fat man and when she got old enough to ask questions I told her the truth. I am Santa. I think it is the spirit of the season and corny though it may be I still like to think that there is one time of year when all humanity can just be human. Celebrate Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah or whatever but enjoy a few days of people sharing a spirit.

The true story of Santa Claus begins with Nicholas, who was born during the third century in the village of Patara. At the time the area was Greek and is now on the southern coast of Turkey. His wealthy parents, who raised him to be a devout Christian, died in an epidemic while Nicholas was still young. Obeying Jesus' words to "sell what you own and give the money to the poor," Nicholas used his whole inheritance to assist the needy, the sick, and the suffering. He dedicated his life to serving God and was made Bishop of Myra while still a young man. Bishop Nicholas became known throughout the land for his generosity to the those in need, his love for children, and his concern for sailors and ships.

Yup, I saw him at the mall just the other day!
On a serious note, Santa's like the tooth fairy and easter bunny and God, no such thing has been proven, and it's a myth passed down by parents to their kids. Though the Santa legends are based in fact, Santa was nothing but a human that is long since dead, and is probably derived from many people in history.
As for God, there is no proof yet billions chose to beleive, just like with all the other mythical characters, no proof but kids still beleive. In other words, God is like Santa for grown ups ^_^

Santa Claus is a belief.
If you don't want to analise, take the words of your elders and lead a happy life without harming anybody you have real Santa!
If you lead your life by wisdom and not want any free gifts, lottery or easy money and prises you need not think of Santa!!

Yes, he is. In the sense that he is the Spirit of Christmas, not the reason. When a child receives that special gift and they believe he comes down the chimney with their heart's desire, that alone should speak volumes.
Jesus is the Reason for the Season. I saw an adorable outside set with Santa kneeling before the Baby Jesus.

Believe in Santa Claus !!!
The tradition of giving gifts in the winter feast began in ancient Rome.
Saint Nicholas lived many centuries ago.
Because of his deeds Saint Nicholas became the patron saint of children.
The spirit of Saint Nicholas, and the tradition of the winter feast
were handed down to Santa Claus.
You say that Santa Claus is just a joke,
You say that Santa Claus conflicts with your beliefs.
Santa Claus has nothing to do with capitalism and marketing.
Santa Claus has nothing to do with shopping malls and parking.
You see the man in the bright red suit and say he isn't real.
If you take the time to learn who Santa was, and believe in who he is,
You'll understand it's not the man you see that counts,
but the feelings that you feel.
Santa Claus is real,
as real as a warm fireplace on a cold winter night.
as real as a smile that turns darkness into light.
Santa Claus is real,
as real as the spirit to give rather than to receive,
as real as human nature and the Will to Believe.
To believe in Santa Claus is to believe in childhood and charity.
To believe in Santa Claus is to be at peace with how you feel.
To believe in Santa Claus is to believe in the simplicity of love
and the complexity of human nature.
So if you do not believe in Santa,
then I guess you just don't understand,
The spirit of giving and the warmth of a child's smile,
is what makes us real.
... Believe.
