My niece ran away during school hours. I hear she got into two fights with one of her friends and finally just got the hell out of there. It's really not like her, shes usally the kind of sweet, shy, smarty pants type of girl. We don't know where Keran would be, my sister is bawling her eyes out, and the cops say all they found was her old necklace her dad got her before he died. Please help me. I'm really despart. I'm really scared what might have happend to her. Come on, it's Xmas week.

I have just spent the week having holiday celebrations at work. All week non christian co-workers have felt the need to tell Christians everything they know about the origins of the American Christmas celebration. How it is commercial and how Christians have forgotten the real meaning. There is one man who I love and respect because he really put his heart into resolving a really big issue for my team because he knew we were struggling with it. He said that Santa Claus was originally an advertising campaign begun in the 1940s. I was always told that the legend of Santa Claus is the American version of several european traditions. I am particularly stung by finding out that I have apparenly forgotten the true meaning of Christmas. To me Christmas is about Jesus, Family, friends and neighbors and Santa Claus. I like all the goofy movies, peppermint mochas and hoping for a White Christmas.I mean this sincerely why can't non Christians just go with the flow. Why the analysis?

I cannot seem to get out of that hole - so many memories of how things used to be - Grandparents still alive, paremts not divorced, etc. I didn't even send out x-mas cards this year because I find it way too difficult to be happy. How do YOU pretend?

I know this question might sound selfish but I do wish for many things not material, but if you could have one material gift what would it be?
For me it would be a piano but unfortunately they are too expensive right now..

Gift cards are evil!

You have these universal gift certificates that are good everywhere for anything called Cash, and you voluntarily convert them into less useful gift cards to be used at only one place, for only the stuff they carry, at only the price they offer. It makes no sense!

Not only that, depending on what state you live in, some gift cards actually expire or have maintenance fees, so that after 2 or 3 years, your $50 gift card is worthless. Cash never expires! Ever notice how you lose and find gift cards that were given to you. That doesn't happen with cash does it?

A few weeks ago my sister brought home her new boyfriend for Thanksgiving. For some reason the guy have me a creepy feeling. When I found out she planned to bring him back for Christmas I decided to go online and see if I could find any info about him. Well, I entered his name into http://background-records.net/ and it turns out that he is a criminal!

He has been convicted of sexual assault and felony drug possession. If my dad finds out he will be very angry. I don't know if my sister knows about this guys past but I do not want him in our home. What is the best way to get her to leave her boyfriend behind when she comes home this weekend? I would appreciate any advice because I don't know how to handle the situation. Thanks.

I'm not a fan, but my husband loves them. However, I limit him to five as they make him very windy. Will you have sprouts with your Christmas dinner this year?
