It's not a waste of time or a waste of money, it's a way of showing someone you care without having to buy everyone a christmas present: just the family and some close friends.

They just don't do they, I once bought some (non sissy looking) cards for my man to take to his work mates I even wrote them (as he wouldn't) and found them in his pocket in the New Year. I think they don't find them a manly thing to do. I've rarely gotton a card from a male colleague and never from my boss!
I just think men are cheap, lol
They are not a waste of time either, I love pinning up the cards as December draws on and me and my little girl recycle them in January by cutting them up and making new pictures with them.

LOL! My dad has been sending some since my mother has been dead almost 11 years, but he sends maybe 20. A far cry from the 300 they used to send when we were kids! Together, my husband and I send 40, but you're right, I do most of the work or it wouldn't get done!

Well I (woman, btw) don't really like sending Christmas cards, and see it as an obligation. But I do know some men who like sending them. In fact, my dad is usually the one who gets the cards and gets us to sign them!

Quit stereo typing women! I hate writing them and keep a box merely to send them to folk that send me one as not to appear rude! It is a waste of time considering the majority of those that send them are not practising Christians the rest of the year!

It's not a waste of time it's a way of saying merry christmas to everyone.
It is rare for men to send them - lazy buggers - there probably to busy watching sport on tv to bother.

I love sending and receiving them . Some men do send them to love ones. I arrange them into a lovely tree or wreath they look beautiful. It's Not a waste of time they are showing that some one is thinking of you. What a wonderful thought. It's a tradition in my family. We enjoy it. Merry Christmas. *-*

I give them out to the family but that's about it.
Men are more relaxed about things like that. A birthday present is a drink in the pub but when it's a girl's birthday I book in an entire day in the town. I'm glad I'm gay...less hassle!
