How about just asking people if they celebrate Christmas or Chanakah or Kwanzaa (pick one). If they celebrate any or none, they'll let you know. Someone told me Happy Holidays today, and I told them which I celebrated. They then sent the correct wish--I asked them if they celebrated Christmas, they said yes, I then wished them Merry Christmas.
Life is too short to spend walking on eggshells worrying about stuff like this!

No, youre still leaving several of them out. And for the fundy in the front...Christmas is NOT about Christ originally. Read a bloody book.
I say that "Happy holidays" is the easiest way to please everyone.

um, no. Politcally Correct? That is from man. Christmas is from God and He was from the beginning, Creator of Heaven and Earth and everything in it! :-D Christmas is about Christ, who it is named after - Christ, the Messiah, Savior of the World. Who came to redeem man of their sin and be reconciled to God and keep us from Hell (the consequence of sin & man's rebellion). If you celebrate Kwanza, then say Happy Kwanza or whatever on that day.
