It doesn't. Its about family and togetherness but it has been so commercialized that society is promoting presents and big Christmas sales and what not. You just have to remember that is not about that, but about family

it does not have to and should not,too many people try to make Christmas into a game of competition on who is going to out do who on Christmas gifts and a lot of people want very large gifts that their family can not afford, and they go so far in debt a buying gifts that they make themselves miserable and it takes them until the next following Christmas to pay off there debt because all there money is gone and they have maxed out all of there credit cards and then by the time they get it paid off it's time to start all over again and do the same thing which is really ridiculous.Christmas is about the Christ child that was born, and family's coming together to feast if you do give gifts it should be within your spending range and dont over do it. No one is perfect and Christmas is not always pleasant for all because of loved ones that has passed on and not all families have someone to share the holiday with or even have the money to buy a gift for anyone,so for some people just the gift of saying Hi! and maybe a plate of baked cookies or something like that is the best gift you can give-The Best gift anyone can ever give is the gift that comes straight from the heart ,it does not even have to be bought, you can make it or just give someone a hug and tell them that you really care and are glad to see them or love them, that's the true gifts of Christmas LOVE.......

It doesn't have to revolve around that, it's just a nice touch if it is all perfect as I don't think anyone would choose a rubbish Christmas were everything goes wrong over a perfect one where everyone gets the presents they want etc.

Human nature being what it is drives each of us to strive to be the best at whatever we do and so when it comes to a celebration like Christmas we feel the need to give the best present and provide the best celebration. I used the word "best" in this reply as opposed to "perfect" because no 2 people have the same idea as to what is "perfect".

Many have overlooked the true reasons for the celebrations and that is the Birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Those who sitll focus on this don't get tied up so much in the commercialism that is what the majority do and therefore are encouraged to spend money they haven't got on presents, food, etc. etc.

May you have a special Christmas this year.

It doesn't. I enjoy giving gifts that others will enjoy but if they're not perfect well, neither am I. To me it revolves around being with loved ones. Even if we just sit and talk and eat getting the time is wonderful.

It used to revolve around the birth of Jesus...not presents.

It doesn't. Your probably asking this because your mom is freaking out or something about getting everything perfect. Really she's just trying to make it nice because Christmas isn't about gifts, its about the spirit and love for one another. Merry Christmas!

Christmas does not have to revolve around anything other than what you want it to revolve around. Make your own kind of music :) and your own expectations....life is about choices YOURS !!
