When we were little we made flowers in class and went home and knocked on the door, left the flowers and ran around the house. It was a suprise for mom. Just wondering if anyone besides me, still as an adult, kept the tradition going? I have moved on to plants and just recently with my daughter made flowers with her pics in the middle.

I know it cant actually happen and...actually...I wouldnt TRULY want this or things would get screwed up,& I dont want the year to be over already,but is it just me or is anyone else ready for 4th of July & Halloween already? Well, maybe not denied it but every other culture within the UK from other countries are allowed to celebrate however they want but we don't seem to able to at risk of upsetting someone.

Last year a friend of mine was told he had to take a flag out of the window or he would get prosicuted? This country is more considerate to everyone but its own nationals. IS it just me that thinks this?

Today is William Shakespeare's supposed birthday as well as St. George's day (patron saint of England)- odd coincidence? One way we might celebrate is by using older English in a fun way. For example, I heard about these guys that got up the international talk- like- a- pirate day and that's okay but the date was set for a nonsensical reason and I think it would be more fun to scrap that and set it for this anniversary except we would just use old tyme phrases and not limit it to just pirates. We could have schoolchildren learning from all this- maybe merchandisers would get in on the act too. What say ye?
