I read somewhere that if people alive today suddenly develop a fear of something, say for example heights, then it could be that person died from a fall in a former life. Thought this would be a question to ask.

If that were true, how did you die in a former life?

Just before the first of every month, the management slips a calendar (with tenants birthdays & other events filled in) for the next month under our doors. The first birthday I had here my name didn't appear on the calendar for my birthday. So, I mentioned it to the management so they could update their records. She apologized & put a notice in the elevator & on the wall in the community room letting everybody know my birthday was on the 4th. I felt a little embarrassed to be singled out like that. But, the next year I was included. Now, this year I just got my calendar page for December & started looking to see what events & birthdays were coming up & noticed I was left out again!! I feel kind of sad about it as I have no family & it is kind of nice to have your neighbors tell you "happy birthday". What should I do? My birthday is Dec.4th and it's too late to put out a new calendar. It hurts a little to see other people's names down on their birth date and mine is blank.

One day, little Johnny asked his dad where he came from.

Dad sighed, having known the day would come eventually, and sat Johnny down for the traditional birds & bees lecture.. He told him all about procreation, reproduction in great detail, what happens when and how, and just about everything else he could think of. Then he asked Johnny what had prompted his question.

Johnny replied, "Well, Dad, I was just wondering because my friend Charlie said he came from Chicago."

About 15 years ago, (South Africa) the young generation, my daughter's age then, started to to what we call:- 'Urban Surfing'. The young guys would stand on the roof of a car, and balance on it, while another friend was driving
the car.

I saw a news item, reporting that the American kids are now doing it.

Unfortunately, a friend of my girls, decided to try it on a Restuarant train, that runs from Johannesburg to Pretoria and back. It was a bachelor party. He climbed out of the train window, onto the roof of the train, and hit one of the electric poles and wires, and thrown from the train. We knew the family, and it was the saddest funeral I have ever been too. One 'looking for a kick', always leads to more. Please warn you children and grandchildren?

This elderly lady went to the doctor for a checkup. Everything checked out fine. The old lady pulled the doctor to the side and said, "Doctor, I haven't had sex for years now, and I was wondering how I can increase my husband's sex drive."
The doctor smiled and said, "Have you tried to give him Viagra?"

The lady frowned. "Doctor, I can't even get him to take aspirin when he has a headache," she claimed.

"Well," the doctor continued, "let me suggest something. Crush the Viagra into a powder. When you are giving him coffee, stir it into the coffee and serve it. He won't notice a thing."

The old lady was delighted. She left the doctor's office quickly.

Weeks later the old lady returned. She was frowning and the doctor asked her what was wrong. She shook her head.

"How did it go?" the doctor asked.

"Terribly, doctor, terribly."

"Did it not work?"

"Yes," the old lady said, "It worked. I did as you said and he got up and ripped his clothes off right then and there and we made mad love on the table. It was the best sex that I'd had in 25 years."

"Then what is the problem, ma'am?"

"Well," she said. "I can't ever show my face in McDonald's again."

Years ago while on a flight I met a man, who was very handsome, very personable & more than a little drunk. For the entire flight he tried to convince me to continue on with him rather than deplane at my destination & go sailing with him for the rest of our lives. I never quite forgot him, it was a memory that stuck with me. One of those "what if" things.

About twelve years later I was standing on a pier on Vancouver island looking at really nice sailing ship & a man got off & walked towards me. He stopped in front of me and said "now are you ready to go sailing with me?"

It was the same man ! I was with my friend and we both went sailing with him. My friend kept saying "that was weird do you know him?"

By this time he was married and I was involved with my friend so nothing came of the second meeting of course. Just one of those things life throws at you. I've had an interesting life.

Hello,
My Granda went into a private nursing home in march this year. His health is way better since he went in there, his mind as sharp as ever and he can still read without his glasses. My parents couldnt stay with him all the time because they were working, and he went through a period of collapsing, dizzyness etc...He has settled in well, walking without hes stick, and we visit him often, he is very happy.

The only thing is this Christmas. If Granda comes back for Xmas day, he will want to go into his room, and the room has been emptied.I know that he knows hes staying there, but i cant bear the thought of him going into his room and seeing is bed, tv etc... gone.
Also, Ebony his dog died a few months ago. He adores the dog, always asked questions about her, and none of us had the heart to tell him she died, it would deeply upset him.
How am I going to tell him about the dog?I feel awful lying to him,but understand we dont want to upset him.
