My father, who's almost 91. He's been on a cane for a number of years now and it bothers him that he can can no longer dance, even slow dance, at family weddings and occasions.

Any song would do....but " When Irish Eyes Are Smiling" would be perfect!

Nice question, Grace.

Well I think my husband has been the best dancer of anyone
I've ever danced with, short of one guy from Pennsylvania
once on a TV dance show. But dancing with my date, who
became my husband, was an eye opener as he danced like
a pro. And the funny thing was, he didn't like to dance he
said, because it made him sweat (of all things). And he'd
also won two dancing contests doing the 'Twist' in Palm
Springs, when he was a bit younger. Well we didn't do much
dancing since we were both apart in the service after that,
and even later when he came back. And so I never have
forgotten our first dance, which made me fall in love with him.
I was in seventh heaven for sure.
So if I had a chance to dance again, it would be with my
husband. And it would be to the song, "Could I have this
Dance for the rest of my life........."

I had a dream one night that I was dancing with Jesus. We were dancing to the song "Can I have this dance for the rest of my life". Jesus is quite the dancer! So out of anyone I could chose, it would be Jesus, He makes a wonderful partner.

With the winner of" Dancing with the Stars" last week and "Dancing in the dark" would be my choice of music.

I was a competition ballroom dancer in my 20's and I would love to have a great dancing partner. I found it easy to follow in those days and I think I could do it again.

i would have loved to have one dance with Gene Kelly. the song would be " You'll never know" By Dick Haymes. I am only 31, but people have told me i have an "old soul" I absolutely love the music from the 40's (esp Glenn miller band) and Gene Kelly was such a handsome guy.

Hi Tc here....If I could dance with anyone it would be with my wife, Bj, because we've only danced with each other twice....the day we met at a friend's wedding and the 2nd time was at our wedding! I have the single "Perfect Day" (it was a charity song by various artists) and I'd dance with Bj to that song coz every day I spend with her is always a Perfect Day!! (she'll kill me if she finds out I've posted this lol!)

Barbara Angelucci to "My Own True Love" (theme from Gone With the Wind), just one more time. It was "our song back" in 1962-65. The last time we danced to it was April of '66, just before I left for Viet Nam and a few months before she got married.

I have to agree with lilabner and say my ex. He reluctantly started taking dance lessons with me before my 25th class reunion. He would never dance unless he was super drunk, and I wanted him to be able to dance sober.Anyways, he liked dancing so much that we ened up taking private lessons for 3 years, and we could waltz, two step, east coast swing, etc. He was an a natural dancer.Too bad he had to be a cheater!

I would dance to anything with my father who was a great dancer. Every time he and my mother would dance every on would clear the floor to watch them. I would like one last dance with my father who has passed on. Or I would love to watch my mother and father dance. I guess I will have to wait till heaven.
