If you receive a rude or nasty e-mail, don't
respond immediately--if at all. Wait until the
next morning so you can cool off and think
clearly as to if a response is even necessary.

If there is nothing constructive to say in a calm
or sternly professional tone, it is probably best
you don't respond.

Many times folks don't realize they are coming
off as terse. No smiles, bad choice of words,
poor grammar and typos all lend to the
impression that the sender didn't care and makes
being perceived as rude much easier.

Always take the high ground and do not respond
in kind to those who cannot communicate with
courtesy. Just hit delete!

In what ways can we express our love and affection to the senior citizens in our neighbourhood? In what ways can we be helpful to them without making them feel that they are dependent on others?

My mother is 72 years old and she told me on the phone today that next year the government is lowering the social security payments that the elderly people receive and are raising the cost of medicare. How are the elderly people going to make ends meet? They are already having a tough enough time as it is now.

my Grandmother always made quilts for us Grandkid.
she tried to have it done for our first birthday, different shades of blue & red for the boys, and pink & yellow for the girls.
she hand stitched every peace, with these tiny stitches, just like a sewing machine.
I had mine until it finally fell apart, and I always remember her each time I saw it.

my mother always made a remembrance blanket for her Grandkids. out of their their baby clothes.
my Son still has his.

My great grandpa, Robert had a long handlebar mustasche that curled up on the ends. He was so proud of it but my great grandma Laura didn't like it. She kept after him to trim it shorter.
One evening Pa fell asleep in his chair by the woodstove and Ma got the idea of lighting a scrap of firewood and singeing the end of his mustasche and he would then have to trim it.
When she lit it, the wax or lotion Pa used to keep the hair in place acted like a propellant and zoom it took off the whole half of his mustasche. He jumped up of course and felt what she had done. Pa quietly walked into their room and shaved the rest off. But the funny thing was that they never spoke about it for the rest of their lives. He didn't get mad and I think he probably thought it was funny too. They were married for close to 85 years.

You had white or pink colors to interchange and could make them long or short. I loved playing with pop beads when I was little. Are they back in style yet?

I feel so bad for the people who lost their homes due to the fire in California, and I can't imagine what it must feel like to have everything that was a part of your life gone. Still they made it out alive.

And psychics and all that? I have had two really eerie tarot readings. One was back in about 1998 or 1999 and she was telling me things I refused to believe. She said a man named Roy was going to ask me to marry him within a week, and I said "there is no way I dont even know anyone named Roy". Went to the pub that night, it was full, asked this guy by himself if we could sit with him, he said sure, introduced himself as Roy. The hair stood up on the back of my neck. Ran into him two days later and he said he had fallen madly in love with me, love at first sight, phoned his kids and told them he had met the woman he intended to marry. No. But he asked. All the other things she said, that I thought no way, also came true.

Today I had another eerie reading, she nailed things about me, and my friend so accurately. It was like she had been there with us every moment of the relationship we had years ago. She nailed all the problems we had. In detail. Said it could go either way -
