And psychics and all that? I have had two really eerie tarot readings. One was back in about 1998 or 1999 and she was telling me things I refused to believe. She said a man named Roy was going to ask me to marry him within a week, and I said "there is no way I dont even know anyone named Roy". Went to the pub that night, it was full, asked this guy by himself if we could sit with him, he said sure, introduced himself as Roy. The hair stood up on the back of my neck. Ran into him two days later and he said he had fallen madly in love with me, love at first sight, phoned his kids and told them he had met the woman he intended to marry. No. But he asked. All the other things she said, that I thought no way, also came true.
Today I had another eerie reading, she nailed things about me, and my friend so accurately. It was like she had been there with us every moment of the relationship we had years ago. She nailed all the problems we had. In detail. Said it could go either way -

I am going with the potential positive outcome, because I have already changed a great deal, and am continuing to change and let go of things. Thanks to a friend I have met on here, two of them - who have helped me see things in a whole different way.
Its been such a blessing, because of this site my life has changed completely.

Who's to say so-called psychic abilities arent in fact a "gift from God". Religious people seem to have no problem having a well "witched', or seeing "messages" as a "sign from God". messages from "angels" are seen as a wondorous thing too. So it seems to me it is the word "psychic" that freaks people out, what if they were called "angelic readings" ? Would they then be acceptable?

Well, Isotope, I have never actually HAD a tarot reading done by a professional. I bought my youngest daughter a pack of tarot cards when she was 17/18 years old. I read all the instructions I could get with that, and tried to do readings for myself...but I just ended up being confused.
As to psychic abilities...I believe that we are all born with these to one extent or another, but that through disuse, or being forced to "hide" the abilities, and being told we are "bad" for talking about those things, then we gradually lose the ability to use them.

The Tarot is a symbolic checklist of human journey. they are deeply rooted in mystic powers and can accomplish miracles of psychological perception, sensible information, and precise divination. Any concern which you place an attempt into is repaid in accordance to that attempt. Symbolism is the only language that transcends dimensions and is theory in all, universally. each card interior the deck can answer each question yet there are greater specific solutions to each question and there are greater precise card which could try this. It relies upon on quite a few issues. First, the guy asking the question would desire to focus with all of their senses that they might practice, (putting plenty attempt into) i.e. ask the question, see the question, etc. do not cease shuffling until you sense the enjoying cards have won the capacity. 2d, the capacity via which the enjoying cards obtain their suggestion is from the persons subconscious, (that's yet another lesson totally) the interpreter has many kit at their instant use to divine. The greater strategies integrated, the greater focused the examining. All this is going someplace that desires getting to understand in a graduating way, so get books on it and consult with human beings, and become area of this non secular kinfolk.

I had a professional reading done a few years ago and thought it was quite interesting. There were a few things she said that have come true just within this last year. I was given a set of tarot cards many years ago and have kind of dabbled in it here and there. By no means am I a professional. I would never begin each day with a reading and plan my day accordingly. I think they can offer a new direction that we may not have noticed. I don't feel that tarot cards have anything to do with evil though. If it was evil and dealing with Satan why would classes be offered at the university --- in Utah of all places?

I had a reading done once as a lark.
Some things she said were true, some did not materialize. Some things she said could apply to various situations. It was very cleverly done.
As far as the "occultness" of it goes... I look at it as entertainment. The reader did not claim any supernatural powers, and nothing bad happened except that my pocket was a bit lighter afterward...
Take it all with a grain of salt.
peace

Demonic spirits work for satan; they travel around watching people, taking in what they see and hear. They then reveal the details they see to people who open themselves up to them thru tarot and horoscopes, etc. They cannot tell the future but only what they see and hear as of now.
The bible forbids playing around in this realm. We should go to God if we wanna know about ourselves but we don't because God convicts us of our sin. Jesus Christ is the only way out of our sin.
John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son,that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have eternal life."
