so I have been dating this guy for a month, and we have a great time together. He is funny and sexy as hell. well last night we went to the club for the first time, and he got WASTED, and was grabbing my arm telling me I left him to long when I went to the bathroom, told my homegirl shut up, started crying and wobbling, then said I had to carry my phone at all times, cuz if he didnt know where I was, we would "have issues". He scared me. and its like when he drinks he turned into a monster. Later when he sobered, he is apologizing blowing up my phone with messages and texts. What do I do? Like he was acting terrible.

Why are we dealing with so much racial tension these days?

Some people are trying to claim that hanging a noose from a tree is a hate crime. How exactly? What crime has been committed? What actual damage has been done?

It seems to me that this action was considered to be a threat rather than a prank. Why would you expell or even suspend students for pulling a "boyish prank"? Isn't that what kids do... joke around and play pranks on each other? The fact that the boys responsible for this act were suspended for three entire days makes it quite clear that their behavior was more than just a prank but rather a threat. Since it appears to be a threat, the boys should have not only been suspended but also arrested. If the law says that threatening to hit someone is the same as assault, isn't threatening to kill someone the same as murder or at least close to it? No doubt this act was not just a prank but a threat to kill. Something more should have been done.

I was once doing cold call selling and I knocked on a door and the woman who answered said 'David!' (not my name) and then she called her husband who said 'David! Step inside!' and so on. David it turned out was the wife's nephew.

...lonely, perverted, stupid guys make dumb remarks like "Ay girl..." or "pssssssst"....."What's your name?"...or "can I get your number?"

What the hell?!?!?! DO I look a freakin cat? Not only am I not a cat, my name definately is not "Ay Girl". Dammit, I'm a woman! Why do they think that a decent female will even find those advances remotely attractive?

Or then the other losers that want to stare at you through the window when you are at a red light like you're driving a freakin ice cream truck? Or the dorks that will see you walk past, stop, then turn their head all the way around like a freakin exorcism. They wonder why you won't give them the time of day, and then call you a snob because you ignore them.

I'm sorry, ding dong. I'm too busy minding my own damn business to give you my number, my name or even the time of day!

OK I didn't even know what hooters meant until a few years after this store came out in our area, and a friend told me. I was just wondering if it refers to big boobs, why do the woman there have small or average boobs like (a,b,c cups)? I think they should change the name.

I am an Indian Australian wanting to teach English in Korea, but all my efforts to come have been in vain! People tell me it is because Koreans believe that an Indian person does not know how to speak proper English even if they do. This IS NOT a racially motivated question, I am wondering why my Caucasian friends are getting replies back but when I send my resume with photos I don't!

As we're getting closer to Mychal Bell's sentencing, which is September 20th for those who don't know, I'm becoming more emotional. My emotions are sad, angry, and a lot of confusion. I was in my car this morning crying before going into work...you know, I'm thankful that I have the strength and heart to walk into work and still treat people with respect. I'm so thankful that I work among people who have given me a chance and treat me with respect but at the same time it is still very hard to keep my composure. This strength can only come from one place...

I can't imagine how my/our ancestors dealt with this kind of pain and I don't think I would have been able to handle that kind of pressure.

How has the Jena 6 situation affected you?

If yes, to what extent? Do you think hairstyles commonly thought/known to be worn by people of particular races should be a consideration? Do you think exceptions should be given to "ethnic hairstyles" to avoid accusations of discrimination? Do you think that employer preference, with regards to hairstyle, is ever an indication of racial discrimination?

I'm in the middle of answering a question concerning this issue, so I'm just curious as to what y'all think about the matter.

To what extent (if any) do you think an employer should be permitted to dictate hairstyles worn by employees?

Explain your opinions.

Thanks.

Anywho.....

I've been noticing that a lot of these questions talks about light skinned women and dark skinned women. (annoying!!! we are all black people!)

I always get so confused. I ask my mother about it sometimes. She's light skinned and there were times when other women would like tease her, saying that she's a wannabe white girl when that isn't true. Some of my friends who are dark skinned were teased b/c they're dark skinned. (ex: "You're SO BLACK!!) I really hated that. I've never been you know teased about my skin tone. (i'm brown skinned.)

My question is why don't people say anything about those who are darker than light skinned people but lighter than dark skinned people= brown skinned people. We all share the same features. (I have long hair like my mom, but i'm a darker than her)

Do we like exist in these skin tone debates?
(i mean we are black too, duh)

(if my question sounds dumb, don't bother answering, okie?
