What if fairytales stopped at midnight?

Then you'd just be a thing like her

Dressed in rags

Wanderin helpless through the ghost light

Wonderin when your prince will come

Well he'll never come

Can't be a happy ending

When no one bothered with a beginning

Well fairytales weren't made for little girls like you

And it's just the truth

You were made to watch

All their happy lives from your limbo

And you'll wait and wait to be recongnized

And you'll wait for nothing

Isn't life funny?

Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White

Spend one night suffering

Then everything is all right

But she is forever Midnight

I've heard about welfare recipients getting substandard food. What is it exactly? How is it different from standard or ultra standard food? And really how do you distinguish substandard, standard, and other types of food like that?

Why the hell are Hispanics called "Latino?"......Latium is the region directly surrounding Roma, Italia......Latin was the Language spoken by the Romans

Romans never set foot in South America or the Caribbean.....Spanish language is not Latin, and it's not even the most conservative descended form of the language

So why are Hispanics now called "Latinos?"

If a person is part Caucasian (from Dagistan) and part Nordic (from Germany) would they be considered bi-racial? Yes, both parents are considered white, but the Nordic is a race different from Caucasian. You'd consider them to be white. But, would that be bi-racial? I am speaking of a cousin of mine, as I am Caucasian.

The only people that are in a position to help the blood soiled image of the Muslims, are the Muslims themselves.
Muslims it pains me to tell you this because most of you did nothing to create the current issues and social stigma associated with the culture.
Do not mistake the respect you seem to receive from others, for it is actually fear, contempt and loathing.
You have allowed the action of few to represent your culture. Many people understand that Muslims, like any other group have good and bad in their community, however given the hype of today, they as a group need to openly condemn those who would insult and malign their culture and religion. It is the responsibility of the culture to police it’s self first.

I am a 22 black female. I cannot seem to keep some black girls as my friends because they are either scandolous and trying to take what you got, haters because they want to be you, or just straight up trifilin! They always spread rumors about each other, and then the minute you want to back your sh!t up they want to get up all in you face. I am a light skinned female and I am not ugly I am proud of myself, and b!tches hate on me because I am light skinned. The other day at work I had a nice outfit on and when I came in one of the girls was like " Oh look at this girl, she trying to be cute" and I told her "Instead of hatin on me, why don't you just tell me my outfit looks good and keep it movin instead of hatin! I know all of them are not like this but the majority I have come across set off a bad name! What do I do?

Notice how I said "SOME" so please no nasty rude comments, because that will show you fall into the same category.

I'm just curious. I recently went to Paris, and my experience was that the French are some of the nicest people I've ever met. They were VERY sweet and helpful. The attitude I mostly found, actually, was that not only do they not hate Americans, they have no problem with us whatsoever! Many of the Parisians I met said that they LOVE Americans, actually.
Has anyone else had experiences with the French? I'd love to hear about them.

Either way I think Dom Imus was wrong for what he said
He's just ignorant

I think people of the same color say these words in "humor" - to kind of diffuse the painful aspects of it being said historically in disrespect.
As for "why" people get offended when they are called racially offensive names, by those of a different color?

I think it's based on a long history of those same words being used in circumstances that were horrific and NOT in anyway "humorously" - they were intended to degrade and dehumanize people of color.
The "N" word isn't a "joke"
We aren't talking about a Polish person being referred to as a "stupid Pollock" in jest.
We are talking about a word that was used very offensively towards people that were enslaved, brutalized and ripped from their homelands.

WORDS have Power
If people of color want to use the "N" word ... towards each other (or in any way)and "own" the word... then it's a way of thumbing their nose at the WORD and it's historic meaning
by trivializing it.
It's kinda like a way of becoming Immune to it's power. The more you hear it...the less impact it has.

But what do I know...I'm just a whitegirl from Detroit

Did you know the greatest JIHAD is in the mind and not in a battlefield. Avoiding evil sights/seens etc?

avoiding yourself from showing off flashy clothing and cars. Looking at other woman or men other than your partner, in a sexually desirable manner.

Avoiding gambling.

Is this the reason why the west dislikes Islam?
(the demotivation of things that they like very much)

I know muslims are also doing it, but those are not permitted.

In Saudi Arabia, I understand all Saudi women must wear the hijab or nijab. However, if you are a foreigner, must you also do that in Saudi Arabia? Must the foreign lady executive wear the full veil when she goes out or report for work? What do foreign women in Saudi Arabia think of this?
