Why are people so thick headed, stupid, arrogant, ignorant, and plain gullible?

I just don't get it. How come we can't see past superficiality, whats true and whats not, whats narrow sighted, etc. I think everyone is brainwashed and lightheaded.

I have curly hair, but it's incredibly fine, and also soft, and when I brush it, it usually gets frizzy. I don't know what to do with it. Why is my hair like this? Also, this might sound strange, but I am white, is it typical for white girls to have hair like mine or is mine more like a hispanic or black girl's?

In George Orwells 1984 is contained the phrase Freedom is Slavery.
There is no way a country can give it's people complete freedom. So naming your country, say in what ways freedom is slavery.

She looks plain, manly and conniving. They try to convince and drill in the heads of society that she is beautiful. I see what is being said now. It is a " trick" . The really white people look ugly " Mona Lisa " or Vincent Van Gogh or " pasty " whites need something else in them too. Don't get mad, just my true opinion.

At our last PTO meeting, the principal showed us the school's stats from recent standardized testing. What was most interesting to me was the fact that our school was 66% hispanic (mostly from Mexico).

The PTO core (those of us who go to the meetings regularly) are about 15 white women. In the 2 years I've been at the school, we haven't had a Mexican family attend a meeting. When it comes to volunteering at the PTO events we have about 5% Mexican families involved.

Now, obviously, there's the regular problem that exists without any cultural differences at all - the problem of just getting any parents/families involved in PTO to begin with.

But, what I'm wondering is what it is that we don't understand in our PTO about the local Mexican culture, that's keeping them away in such large amounts? And, more importantly, what are some things we can do to encourage them to be more involved?

We really want to serve *all* of the students & families at our school, but don't know how.

If so why? Why has the world done this? I am a white male, and I'm personally more attracted to darker skin and hair. Whether that be a very tanned (or olive skinned) white girl with dark hair, or a non-white girl all together. I find I'm noticing this trend more and more with my buddies too. Why is the standard of beauty opposite to what most of the world is? Why are most of the beauty/shampoo commercials fair skinned white women with light hair? Is the media pushing this standard?
