Asian slanted eyes ( or more politely Asian eyes ), are
a relatively recent genetic development in Asia.
As everybody knows when the ice retreated in one of the
recent ice ages the forefathers of the American Indians,
came in over the land-bridge at the Aleutian islands.
linking Asia with America for a while
The basic genetic make up of American Indians is pure
Asian, they could not have come from anywhere else.
But they don't have the eyes, the Inuit (Eskimo)who arrived
last and still live up north do however.
This is because a dominant gene developed in Asia not
so long ago and intermingling became impossible when the
ice returned again separating the two people.
In general slanted eyes is a very unfortunate term, they are more almond shape, and in combination with a certain fold
and a specific eyebrow form you get this effect.
But it is an optical illusion in many cases when carefully
measured the majority of Asian eyes are actually rounder
in appearance than most westerners.
* Eskimo means raw meat eater a name given to the Inuit
by a Nortern American neighbouring tribe and is not really
appreciated.

Btw eye color DOES have something to do with it. There is only one color of pigment for eye color in EVERY human being...BROWN. Where ones ancestors lived mostly determines how much brown pigment is in ones iris. This is due to the amount of sun that they recieved on a regular basis. This is very similar to skin color evolution.

It's just like that!
In terms of evolution, a new character appears and, as long as the bearer is viable, it just continues appearing in the descendants. Is a random product in evolution.

Their eyes are not "slanted", they simply have eyelids that aren't as loose as Western eyes; like the difference between an old fashioned rollerblind compared to Venetian blinds.
Their eyeballs are the same as anyone else's. The shape of the opening is determined by the shape of the skull bones.
Every single person on God's earth is an original, unique creation. And no two asian people look alike, just as no two other human beings look alike--if you bother to really see them.

Its evaloution, they evolved that way because that was the most appropriate way to survive it the atmosphere they evolved, one theory behind it is that there are vast high winds in this region of the globe that caused people to continuously squint, in time evolution would make the eyes naturally more, as you put it, slanted. Black people are black because they evolved in a hot climate where dark skin was protective again the sun, northern european pale featured people because there is not as much sun, thearfore dark skin is not a nessecity.

What are you, Prince Philip?
Classic example of people misusing the word 'Asian'... not all ''Asian'' people do. Asian = descending from Asia, this does not apply to all Asians.
Someone asked a question about the misuse of the word 'asian' and people completely denied that it exists, here's the PROOF folks!
